Start building healthy habits

The most important part of starting out is setting your goals so you know what you’re working toward.  If you don’t know where to start, browse around and take a look at my goals.  Then sit down and take a few minutes to make them your own.  Don’t worry if they’re not perfect.  You can always revise and revisit them as you start moving forward.  If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d love to hear what your goals are, too!  Please send me a message on Facebook

Next, pick a healthy habit you want to develop.

Pour everything you have into accomplishing that habit first.

Ideally, it is the first thing that you do each day.  If not, it must be the most important part of your day.  Seriously.  Some days the laundry piles up at my house just so I can get my workout done. The laundry will get done tomorrow.

2photo before and afterIf you’ve never done this before, instead of starting with building four habits at a time, you might want to consider just starting with one.

I think the best place to start is with fitness because you will notice and see the results in just a few weeks – and it will help you have more energy and motivation to tackle habit-building in even more areas of your life.

I started my journey by purchasing the 21 Day Fix challenge pack from Beachbody.  It made it easy to learn how to eat the right portions of the right foods.  Most importantly, it got me excited about what I was doing because I could see the results! The challenge pack includes simple color-coded containers and a clean eating meal plan guide.

If you want to lose weight and feel healthier, start with eating right.  Trust me.

21 day fix 1When you’ve got yourself on track with healthy eating habits, add in daily exercise.  The 21 Day Fix home DVD workouts are all 30 minutes long and are a great place to start.  If you buy the 21 Day Fix challenge pack through me I will put you in my 21 Day Fix Facebook challenge group where I will be your personal coach and share daily tips, tricks and motivation to get you through your first challenge.  Most importantly, I will personally answer any questions you have as you move forward and join me on this journey.  If you’re interested in any of Beachbody’s other workout DVD’s or products, I’ve tried most of them and would be happy to help you decide which is right for you.  I strongly recommend starting with the 21 Day Fix – even if you only order it for the containers and Shakeology – and follow a different exercise plan.

If you’re not ready right now to start with a fitness challenge, I would suggest you start with something else where you will have noticeable results that will get you excited about building more habits.  Whatever habit it is that you pick to start with, the most important thing to do is start today!  No more regrets!
